Young Artists Renaissance - The Young Artists Renaissance is a program designed to encourage, promote and demonstrate artistic talents of our youth in the areas of drama, dance, creative writing, visual art, instrumental and vocal music, photography and broadcast journalism in the Dallas County area. This year, the program will be expanded to include three artistic workshops, which will consist of drama, dance and literary/writing workshops. The workshops will be facilitated by professional artisans.

UNCF Walk-A-Thon – Members join other organizations and individuals in this important annual event to help raise funds for Historically Black Colleges/Universities.

I Have a Dream – Members pledged and paid $33,720 to guarantee college scholarships to eighteen students from public elementary school in Dallas as a part of the National I Have a Dream Program. Scholarships – Since 1960, the organization has awarded at least one four-year tuition college scholarship and one or more book stipends to outstanding high school graduates each year.

Betty Shabazz Academy – A program that involves 50+ girls (ages 11-14) in monthly explorations in science, mathematics and technology with emphasis on self-awareness and personal skills development.

Teen Town Hall – A conference at Dallas City Hall that brings middle and high school students from all over the metroplex to learn about city and county government and to address issues of concerns to youth.

Health Race for the Cure -- Participation in the annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s race.

Health Fair – Awareness and screenings provided in collaboration with health professionals. Grooming Services – Hair care and other spa-like services provided to residents of the South Dallas Nursing Home once per month.

Bone Marrow and Organ Donor Awareness – Activities sponsored to increase awareness of and encourage participation in donor programs.

Health and Healing - Let It Begin Within – A campaign to encourage recognition of and treatment for symptoms related to clinical depression among African American women.

Butterfly Conference – An annual one-day seminar for girls and teens on domestic violence prevention.

Delta Duds – A new and used clothing distribution center for school-aged children and their families.

Black Dollar Day – A venue for Black entrepreneurs to display and sell their products and services.

Voter Registration and Education – Members volunteer as registrants for annual voter registration drives and the organization sponsors political issue seminars.

Get out the VOTE campaign - The organization promotes voter participation through the implementation of non-partisan telethons.
